Monkey Boy, Winners Dog |
| Ridgecrest, CA is a favorite stomping grounds for the
MVDanes gang. When not hosting a dog show, the fair grounds hosts a
Motorcycle Grand Prix in November. Plus, there are several other off road
events in the surrounding desert throughout the year. However, this weekend
revolved around dogpower, not horsepower. The weather ranged from sunny and
warm, to cloudy, rainy, windy, and cold. Therefore, the rings were indoors
and none of my photos came out. I will post the win photo when received. The
rain is good for the native flowers. Because of the large amount of rain,
the desert is alive with color. It is a very rare site to see so many
flowers in bloom in what in normally very dead looking. |
