Monkey Boy Receives an Award of Merit
The Great Dane Club of California Specialty Shows is one of our favorites. Maybe because we are member. Maybe because it is near by. Or Maybe it is because the GDCC seems to out do itself every year.  With over 100 dogs entered each day, we are not the only ones who feel this way.

Saturday was a beautiful day. I had arrived early Friday morning to ensure we had plenty of room for the dogs and ourselves. Sydnee was entered in the Veteran class. She won this show both days in 2002. She wanted to defend her title. Monkey Boy also wanted to ad his name next to mom on the perpetual trophy. Although he showed well, he was not awarded the breed, but did receive an Award of Merit. Considering the large entry, that is a significant accomplishment.

Sunday was a bit cooler. And so were the results. The good news is that MVDanes did well at the raffle table.

Grace was Given back to the breeder. Can you believe it? She needs a good loving home. She is just as sweet as she looks in the picture.
