No More Monkeying Around
Mountain View Great Danes traveled 370 miles north to the first specialty show of the Monterey Bay Great Dane Club. This also took us very close to the California city of Mountain View. This is merely a coincidence as the name Mountain View is very common throughout the States. This was Monkey Boy's Weekend. He was the first dog to receive points from the GDCMB by being the Winners Dog. He received a very nice glass piece, but more importantly, 4 points and a Major. That meant that he only needed 3 points and a major to complete his Championship. This he did at the Del Monte KC all bred show on Sunday by being the Best of Winners and earning another 4 points and his 2nd major. We would like to thank all of our friends and ring side supporters for their complements. We would also like to thank Judge Mrs. Connie A. Hunter, and Judge Mr. James G. Reynolds for finding Monkey Boy in the ring. And finally, we would like to thank the Monterey Bay Great Dane Club for putting on this specialty show which drew entries for 3 days of solid Majors. Needless to say, the drive home did not seem nearly as long as the drive too the show.

Very nice awards offered by the club. Monkey got the dark purple one on the right. The MVDanes EZ-Up with GDCC throw was visible to all. A very nice Open fawn dog class
The MVDanes EZ-Up was also a nice backdrop for the photos Monkey Boy in the Winners class Brianne had her hands full but pulled him together.
Monkey Boy has the little head tilt when he's focused The Winners Dog final cut. MONKEY WINS! Now it was Desi's turn.
Monkey Boy is a hard act to follow Desi was together and gave a great performance, but was not found. Monkey Boy had one last trip around the ring for the Best of Bred competition
4 point Major Win!!! Yea! Saturday was nothing to write home about. Monkey Boy showed very well, However...
He was never really considered by this Judge The sun came out and everyone scrambled for shade Desi is used to the heat and enjoyed the warmth
Do not attempt this at home. These are trained professionals Rock solid as always The Open Fawn Dog class which Desi won!
Sunday, and the last chance for points this weekend. David and Beth look on as their dogs are in the ring as well Nice reach and drive. He almost has Brianne trained.
A nice stack for the Judge to see Time for a little snack to keep the energy up. Monkey Boy Awarded Winners Dog, and Best of Winners.
Something pretty interesting down there Brianne taking a bow. I don't think the steward cares Sound and good muscle tone. Monkey Boy helps with the exercise (or, visa versa)
What a beautiful face. The New Champion enjoying all the attention but letting his ear down The spacious Mtn View Estates. Nothing but the best!
